Privacy Policy
Effective date: 24 August 2026
Nairative Consulting and Counselling, operated by Vinay Nair, respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.
This Privacy Policy explains how information may be handled through this website and through authorised technology integrations used to manage Nairative Consulting and Counselling’s social-media content.
1. Scope of this policy
This policy applies to:
- visitors to vinaynair.com.au;
- people who contact Nairative Consulting and Counselling through the website;
- information processed through authorised Facebook and Instagram integrations;
- the self-hosted n8n workflows used to prepare, schedule and publish social-media content.
The Meta integration is operated for Vinay Nair’s own business accounts. It is not offered as a public application through which unrelated users connect or manage their social-media accounts.
2. Information that may be processed
Depending on how the website and authorised integrations are used, the following information may be processed:
- name and contact details voluntarily submitted through the website;
- enquiries and communications sent to Nairative Consulting and Counselling;
- Facebook Page and Instagram professional-account identifiers;
- account names, Page names and profile information provided by Meta as part of account authorisation;
- access tokens and permission information needed to maintain the authorised connection;
- social-media content prepared for publication, including captions, images, videos, links and scheduling information;
- publishing results, post identifiers, published URLs, timestamps and error logs;
- basic technical information required for website security and operation.
This website also uses basic first-party analytics and an optional first-party analytics cookie. This may process pages visited, visit date and time, referring site or search engine, campaign or UTM links, approximate country, device type, browser, operating system, a masked IP address and a pseudonymous visitor identifier. The cookie can be accepted or declined through the website’s cookie notice.
Contact, booking, chatbot and “Stay in touch” forms process information that a person chooses to provide. General website forms should not be used to submit sensitive personal, health, counselling, crisis or confidential workplace information.
3. How information is used
Information may be used to:
- operate and maintain the website;
- respond to enquiries;
- understand website use and improve content and navigation;
- authenticate authorised Facebook and Instagram accounts;
- prepare, schedule and publish approved social-media content;
- confirm whether publishing succeeded or failed;
- troubleshoot and secure the integration;
- maintain records of content published through the workflow;
- comply with applicable legal, regulatory and platform requirements.
Information obtained through Meta is not used for unrelated advertising, profiling or data-broker activities. Website analytics are not used for advertising retargeting or automated decisions about individuals.
4. Meta and social-media integration
Nairative Consulting and Counselling may use Meta’s APIs to connect an authorised Facebook Page or Instagram professional account to a self-hosted n8n workflow.
The connection may request only the permissions reasonably necessary to identify authorised accounts and publish or manage approved content.
Access is limited to accounts owned or administered by Vinay Nair. Social-media content is not published until it has been deliberately prepared, approved or scheduled through the authorised workflow.
Use of information received from Meta is also subject to applicable Meta platform terms and policies.
5. n8n and service providers
n8n is used as a workflow-automation system. The n8n installation used for this integration is self-hosted.
Information may also be processed by infrastructure, hosting, email, file-storage or other technology providers where reasonably necessary to operate the website and authorised workflows.
Service providers are given access only to information reasonably necessary to provide their services. Nairative Consulting and Counselling does not sell personal information.
6. Storage and security
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect information from unauthorised access, misuse, interference, loss, alteration or disclosure.
These measures may include encrypted connections, restricted administrative access, credential protection, access controls, software updates and backups.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably required to operate the website and authorised integrations, maintain appropriate business records, resolve technical issues or meet legal and platform obligations.
Access tokens and integration credentials are removed or invalidated when they are no longer required or when the relevant connection is revoked.
8. Disclosure
Information may be disclosed:
- to technology providers that support the website or authorised integration;
- where the person concerned has provided consent;
- where required or authorised by law;
- where reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights or safety of the business or another person.
Nairative Consulting and Counselling does not sell or rent personal information.
9. Access, correction and deletion
A person may contact Nairative Consulting and Counselling to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information held about them.
Requests can be sent to: vinay@nairative.com.au.
Please include sufficient information to identify the relevant account, enquiry or interaction. Identity may need to be verified before a request is completed.
Reasonable deletion requests will be processed within a reasonable period, subject to information that must be retained for legal, security or legitimate record-keeping purposes.
Detailed instructions are available at: https://www.vinaynair.com.au/data-deletion.
10. Revoking Facebook or Instagram access
An authorised user may remove the application’s access through their Facebook or Instagram settings or may contact Nairative Consulting and Counselling using the privacy email above.
Revoking access prevents future API access but may not automatically delete information previously and lawfully stored. A separate deletion request can be submitted using the data-deletion instructions.
11. Overseas processing
Some technology or platform providers may process information outside Australia. Where this occurs, reasonable steps will be taken to use reputable providers and handle information consistently with applicable privacy obligations.
12. External links
The website may link to external websites and social-media platforms. Nairative Consulting and Counselling is not responsible for the privacy practices of external services. Users should review the relevant service’s own privacy policy.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the website, integration, legal requirements or business practices change. The current version and effective date will be published on this page.
